White squares on map

White squares are appearing on my map covering parts of my route, or even my green car. Sometimes the route text is illegible.
Please advise

Troubleshooting steps provided by NJMedic2535 should resolve your problem, but if the problem persist you should "ask in waze app section" viewforum.php?f=3

Hi, Dennis!

This sounds like a software issue.
You can try the following: Tap Settings > Advanced > Data transfer > Refresh Map Of My Area. Secondly, you can try clearing Waze's app cache in your phone’s app manager. The final option is to reset the app by going to the navigation screen and type ##@resetapp in search field and hit search.
