Added roads Wont snap to connecting segments

Postby BolivianSinX » Sun Jan 24, 2016 10:47 pm

I noticed two two errors on one of the roads I drive by and so I thought I could correct them, I've added to on ramps on this road but the editor wont allow it to snap the ends to either of the connecting roads, now is this because of my editor level or does it have to be revised by an admin to the changes to actually take place?

I have a feeling that your issue related to unlock level, but since you have not posted a Permalink I can't tell.

Hi, welcome, and thanks for trying to help out on the map!
First, to answer your question: yes, lower ranked editors cannot connect segments to higher-locked roads. They can easily request assistance here or in chat, in the editor interface. We do this as a way to prevent damage to increasingly valuable items on the map.

I'm guessing that these are the ramps in question: ... 842&zoom=6

In general, when there are only small connectors like this, we don't add an extra road segment on the map. The instruction to turn right is usually sufficient to make clear what should happen when you're driving at the location, and in enough time to make the movement safely.
