New Alaska AM

Hello!

I was recently notified that I was approved as an AM in the great state of Alaska. I understand there is not a Google Hangout. The forums here seem to be rarely used. Are there any other communication tools being used for the editors?

It seems like the Wiki Page is severly lacking. Anyone taking charge with putting some order to it? If nothing else other than to say, "follow the best practices for the rest of the U.S."? And maybe start to make a list of the area managers?

Looking forward to helping out as I can!

Congratulations and a big hearty welcome to the (very small) club. I am an AM for Prudhoe Bay. Pretty light work but someone's got to do it [emoji3]. I'm not an Alaska native nor resident and have had my hands full in California, so have had a low profile in the frigid north. But I have friends there and know some parts of Anchorage well and have a soft spot in my heart for moose and caribou so am glad to help.

There is I believe an AK SM so ensuring engagement with that person and discussing plans and division of labor is, I would think, the logical first step.

Hello everyone,

I'd also like to introduce my self as an area manager. I was recently approved as the AM from Palmer over to the East side of Wasilla. As mentioned above by psurbrian, is there any other way to contact people about editing? In particular unlocks. I have been working through all of the road classifications in the greater Anchorage area and need a few roads unlocked to finish. There are also a few other issues that are locked (a few bridge grade mismatches, turns on some of the ramps and ramp names on the Glenn and Parks Hwys). I have requested the unlocks using the forum and chat.
