Roads connected that county plat map does not show

Post by oldbeeg
I was creating some junctions between a railroad and streets in Guilford County, North Carolina and came upon a road over the rails that didn't look correct for the image under it. I checked county maps. A highway map shows a road hook for Agate Rd that goes just over the rails. However, the county plat map shows no connection between Rock Quarry Rd and Agate Rd, and Agate Rd stops just short of the rails, as shown on the satellite image.

I created two nodes at the positions that the plat map shows Rock Quarry and Agate ending. I'd like to delete the road(s) standing between them, but wanted to check here first before taking someone else's addition off the map. This also means a junction between the railroad and Agate Rd is not necessary.

Map link for McLeansville, North Carolina view:

Rock Quarry Rd segment ID: 84098419 // my created 'end' node ID: 63558656
Agate Rd segment ID: 79285759 // my created 'end' node ID: 63558659

Thanks and regards,

It is a little hard to tell but it looks like these are base map imports (Ie created by admin 2009). I think it is safe to go ahead and propose mapping it as you planned to.
