Cameras

Post by CBenson
Users are beginning to ask that we address the proliferation of new types of cameras in DC. I've asked for broader input hereon how to address other camera types. But as this is primarily a DC issue, I thought I'd post here as well to get the input of those that may just be monitoring the DC forum.

If you're talking about the cameras that have a broad base, a skinny pole, and a large square head, those almost certainly tracking cameras.

The district likes to pretend they're speed cameras, but they can't be. They have no flash, and they keep them in the same place because I suspect they're there are the behest of homeland security given that it's the U.S. Capital.

I only wish people would think a bit because they jam on the brakes and cause accidents or cause traffic tie-ups because people are generally pretty dumb in traffic.
