County Highway Naming

Postby DallasGrant » Wed Sep 03, 2014 4:28 am

It came to my attention from https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Highway_naming/USA that we use a different form of naming County Highways that I have been using.

I propose to use CR-XXX instead as in routing it will say County Road X and it looks better in the mapping. It also seems more commonly used than the naming in the Wiki

Seconded. I have been seeing a lot of "Co 32" labels, which is pronounced as "Ko". Using "CR-32" makes it correct on the client's text-to-speech.

I agree and have changed some on my instances of coming across them. I know the Wiki has some improvements coming out per state pages which will help. As far as this reference, I can get with Kent to fix to however we decide here.
