USPS standard is actually to always spell out the word Saint, but I agree it should just be St. Louis Park for visual purposes if nothing else ... I will be submitting a request to merge the two city names to one ... no need for two ... any abbreviation to the word Saint always needs a period.

Please submit Greater Big Lake Area in Sherburne County, which is really a mixture of Elk River and Big Lake according to the Sherburne Co GIS.

I have a UR caused by this issue. GIS says it is in Elk River, but Waze thinks this is Greater Big Lake Area so it routes miles away to the Elk River proper area.

*Edit: (2) I am adding Becker Township to the list as well. Do we need it? Do we need the name changed to Twp?

What will this process do to the addresses in this Greater Area?

(3) This area of Anoka County is listed as Linwood in Waze, Linwood Township in GIS, and Stacy by the USPS & Google. It causes Waze to use the Google pin for 23501 Neches St NE, <Stacy>, MN. The city layer here colors the map with many colors. What can be done to better align this area for address searches?

This is a big task seeing how bad many areas there are on the map now.

I'd note that all of the Townships in Pine County are a mess. The bad part is Pine County doesn't have any online GIS systems at all. I own a pine county plat book I use to find public hunting lands, which is why all of the parks are mapped out in Pine County in Waze.

Many of the townships did not have township in the name before I started editing up there years ago. So all of places like Danforth, Arna, Park, Partidge, all of those large square cities should add on Twp. When I edited up there I started adding Township to the city names on streets, (I'll start using Twp instead from now on). So most of the areas that say XXX Township are from my edits, and they are verified by my pine county book.

Not sure if this is where you want City changes to be listed, but I have a minor correction I'd like to see made. The name is "St. Louis Park". I've seen it listed as Saint Louis Park, St. Louis Park, and St Louis Park. I'm going to make the argument that the city itself on their website does not spell out Saint and they use a period after it. Plus, the state of Minnesota has it listed as St. Louis Park (http://mn.gov/portal/government/local/cities/#S)

The cities layer in Waze has both St. Louis Park and St Louis Park. Let's pick one and stick with it. Will this help with the multiple URs of St. Louis Park vs Minneapolis? I have no idea, but it certainly can't hurt, right?

Now the frustrating this is USPS.com will list both SAINT LOUIS PARK MN and ST LOUIS PARK MN as being acceptable alternates for 55416.

Hassan Township no longer exists. It was absorbed by the City of Rogers. I know it'll take a while to get changed, but this should be submitted to the proper channels to remove Hassan. This was effective as of January 1, 2012.

As an interesting side note, Hennepin became the state’s first county without a township, although others in the metro area were not far behind as of 1/1/12.
