NEWBIE - Correcting a street way.

Post by DaniloNC
Recently while using Waze I had to enter two streets after the one I needed.

The street in question is 12th Ave NW, Rochester, Mn with the Elton Hills Dr NW, Rochester.

In that case, I was driving from Elton Hills Dr NW. West to East direction and my final destination 12th Ave NW (turn right), but waze made me right turn at the 24th street.

I tried to correct using the waze map editor by moving the point A to the 12th Ave NW but the map editor did not allow me to do it. My idea was to move the segment "B" to "A" to end at 12th Ave NW, and then I would create another segment from 12th Ave NW to the 11th Ave NW.

What is the right way to correct this map issue?

Just a follow-up, it seems I would need to delete the segment and create it properly but unfortunately My editor level 1 does not allow that. If someone could make this fix that would be great.

Wow, this was actually a good one. The node that was supposed to junction 12th with Elton Hills was corrupted. The solution was to grab each end of 12th, move them back and then re-attach. The reason you couldn't do that was Elton Hills is locked to 3, generally to encourage conversations where we let you fix things you find. This was a little more complex, so I just did it this time. If you do end up hanging around--and we hope you do, please join us in our real time chat service Discord. discord.me/wazepln

Thanks again.
