Level 3 edit Segment

Post by B0TN3
My Level: 1
Segment IDs from West to East: 37496329, 501390753, 73672541, 73672529, 61571827, 72980372, 72980371, 74432650, 503315253, 503315254
Change: Speed limit listed as 45, but that entire section is 35. It used to be correct but now it's wrong. I drive this road every single day and know it's 35. The last two segments mentioned (503315253, 503315254) used to be 45, but that was changed almost a year ago. Google Maps Streetview reflects the new speed limit of 35.

P.S. I've used "Report Speed Limit" in the app about 20 times in that area over the past couple of months. Who does that go to?

Thanks and best!

Sam

Sorry for your frustration. I fear it is shared by many who are trying to help us improve the map.

As noted above, these reports are going somewhere that we volunteer editors can't see. Until that changes, in cases like this, I'd suggest entering a general map error with a description telling us the correct speed limit.

Thanks. That's what we needed. For whatever reason, Waze won't let us get to segments by just knowing the number.

I have passed this on to someone who can edit in Grove City. We should get this fixed soon.

By the way, you certainly have the persistence needed to be a good volunteer editor. If you are interested, there is a Google Hangout where Ohio editors discuss issues and learn from each other.

The master map has been updated with the correct speed limits. The app will probably be updated by Saturday.

Can you please provide a permalink to the section in question? It's the little chain-looking icon in the lower right corner of the editor. Also, the town name you're referring to in the title would be very helpful.

Regarding "Where do the SL UR's go?" - we were getting flooded with so many reports with no detail and often no street view that the developers have suppressed them from the editor until they can rework how they behave.

Sam,

What area of Ohio are you in? Can you get a Permalink (https://wiki.waze.com/wiki/Permalink#Permalink) to the segments please? Just having the segment IDs isn't enough for us to find it.

Unfortunately, Waze has left the "Report Speed Limit" in the app, but disabled reports from showing for the editors while they work on something (for the past several months). So, right now those reports aren't going anywhere.

Thanks!
