You mean driving the lots? Hell, Google pays photographers to photo the inside of malls for walking paths, so that ain't nothin'. :)

Oh, I know about that--I've looked around some restaurants before deciding to go, actually. That's fairly useful. But what's the point of collecting video footage of every pathway through the parking lot?

Heh. Talk about an easy, though rather boring, job. If they are going to pay people to do street view pics in every lane of a parking lot, the least the can do is start paying them to get street view in some of the more rural areas first.
