Anyone else leave "easter eggs?"
Just left what I believe is my first...
as part of trying to edit my area accurately and correctly, I find myself actually doing research. Turns out that there is an honest to deity historic (as in, on the state register of historic places) tollhouse a long walk or shortish bike ride from my house of which I was previously completely unaware. Had to look up the coordinates on Google maps to properly locate it as I was frustratingly unable to find a street address and searching aerial photos was no help due to trees obscuring it - although the stone rubble from the collapsed bridge helped. Now I'm going to have to check it out some nice Sunday afternoon...
...and of course I put a small "tourist attraction" landmark over it.
Yeah, the only people who will EVER see it are map editors, as the only roads it's near are two major highways where unless it's rush hour everyone's doing 60 MPH but still...
am I crazy, or does anyone else do this too?
