From my subjective logic, I would agree.

But: When it comes to routing, the staff-definition of bugs has many surprising exceptions. So I wouldn't hold my breath on this.

Example: Routing through a TBR

Situation: Driving through a segment is disallowed by the restrictions in a TBR, like "forbidden for all vehicles until 2016/06/30. If the driver choses "shortest route" instead of "fastest route", Waze might route him through the TBR although the restriction forbids it. We all would assume that "shortest route" is the shortest legal route, however staff did not acknowledge this behaviour as a bug.

It's not the same situation, but it demonstrates that it's not easy to predict what staff considers a bug and what not.

Best regards,

Detlev

The table says Waze will generally not route through a hard-restricted turn.
Is there any situation in which Waze will route through a hard-restricted turn?

Hey All,

I submitted this to the developers and received this in response:

"Restricted turns should be 100% restricted. Under no circumstance should we route through them. Private roads, referenced in the discussions, are a completely different thing. There we do have a penalty."

Let me know if you have any follow up questions. Hope this helps to clarify.

Best,
Karen
