If Waze wants to change the way they want to use elevation, I'd rather have them notify us vs something like "this is how the convo summed up". There is already one champ stating that they treat FWY as pri and set to ground and that elevation is just related to segments that overlap each other. To just have one champ be told this is not enough for me to go and start making drastic changes to the map.

In regards to those opposed to chopping up roads for elevation, there are others that have the same mentality. Case in point, the Speed Limits thread.

A champ chimed in here that they are not in favor of breaking up a road. Another L6 in the thread listed is also not in favor. Is there something the US champs know that the rest of the champs from other countries don't?

I have found that a map elevation continued beyond its real world counterpart tends to make changes elsewhere can lead to a knot of cascading elevation changes across many segments. This is more of a challenge in urban areas where there are more overpasses and intertwined roads and ramps.

Except for the fact that a seagull can't fly under the approach, just the bridge itself.

By the looks of that image to the left, to me it looks like that "overpass" may have sunk into the "underpass". What do we call that and what would the elevation be????

It is very narrow, but if you asked me if still call it an overpass, not a tunnel. The road goes up and over, the other road does not go down and under. IMHO +1

Considering we keep freeways at ground in all possible means, that to me is a tunnel.
