Agreed. In this instance it is useful. My concern is that new editors do not know that levels will be altered. I continually find segments with odd levels, and I think this is the likely cause. Sometimes, the altered level then conflicts with an overpass.

Good grief. Why on earth is this not in the wiki? I have made SO MANY bridges to join segments, and now I find out I can just delete the join! :-x

It is. http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Map_ ... a_Junction and also mentioned in http://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php/Map_ ... e_junction on the same page.
Oh. So it is. With respect though Alan, when I look through the manual for instructions on creating and editing segments, it takes me here, which tells me there are two methods, and does not mention deleting or the change in levels. With respect to my original post then, my request for wiki update stands, with the addition of a link to your reference above.
I don't want to dis the wiki, it's a huge effort from lots of people. But information has got lost in the enormity of it.

Agreed. The wiki will need changing then, otherwise muppets like me will follow the instructions to bridge.

I almost added the same to my post. This may be ok in the US, where most bridging is complete, but it is a step-saver in other countries which are basemapped and have loads of overpasses incorrectly connected to their cross-road. Bridging removes, if all criteria are satisfied, the junction for both the bridge and the lower road and increases level all with a single click.
Fortunately most overpasses came like this in the basemap:

https://world.waze.com/editor/?zoom=6&l ... =181568115

So bridging is not needed that often.

Closing out this thread as a duplicate of this other thread which also resolved the concern around joining segments in the Wiki.
