I wonder if someone will notice that you can't actually get this in the editor ever? :D
I assume you mean the purple "?" with a Green Arrow or Green U-Turn?

Actually I do think the purple "?" goes away once you change any of the directions for that intersection and I don't think you can get it back. Not that this whole line of debate is important though.

It's interesting seeing how the time based restrictions will work. I noticed one thing potentially missing when I was reading through that Wiki article. Maybe it doesn't need to be there and maybe we won't even have any ability to show this anyhow, but what about time based lane directions relating to the number of lanes in each direction. Basically a sub item to the entire road changing direction at different times of the day. For example, certain roads including many bridges will sometimes have 3 lanes one direction and 2 the other, but then have 4 one way and 1 the other and so on. I'm not sure if all of those are specifically time based or if some may be volume based, but I wanted to bring this up for consideration. Usually there are lights above the lanes in each direction showing green or red letting you know which ones you can drive in similar to what you'll see at a toll plaza. That may end up being too complicated to show at this time and might not be an option until we someday are able to do lane information. Still, it's something to think about.

Do a Google image search for "time based parking or turn restriction signs" and you'll find a wide variety. You do get a lot of unrelated images, but there are still a decent number of good examples there. This one is especially interesting. It seems that I also get some WME images as part of those results. :)

That makes sense. I don't think you can have a copyright issue on a photo of a public sign, but then again, I'm not an expert in copyright law.

Although I don't know much about licensing map images, I think kentsmith9 hit on the main point. If created when you have the license, you don't have to get rid of it as soon as the license expires. If that were true, a game that lost its license (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc.) would have to shut the game down immediately. That isn't the case. Instead, they can continue to have the game running, but they cannot continue to develop more for the game without the license or create new games related to the license.

Still, it wouldn't be a bad idea to slowly start updating the images anyhow. Having current images is better anyhow. And updated full-size images of the WME would now show the street view icon and can include the street view itself when it's useful to display.

I just looked over the page again and checked out some screenshots. One thing I'd suggest for the feature (not the Wiki) is to add a heading above the restricted vehicles on the restriction dialog that simply says "Restricted vehicles" or something similar. The reason here is that it may not be clear whether those checkboxes are saying the vehicles are restricted or that they are allowed. Yes, I know the dialog is for restrictions, but you're going to find someone who misunderstands when there isn't any heading. It's a minor change and may prevent some incorrect edits, so I think it's definitely worth adding. It may seem obvious, but few things are obvious to everyone.

Could you add an example for how best to handle "school days" restrictions? Obviously, Mon-Fri and times, but we don't need those during the summer months. We want it to repeat every year, so just putting a date range doesn't seem right because you have to enter a year. How should we handle these?

So when you can't turn left onto a main street during certain times of the day during school days, it shouldn't be marked? That doesn't seem right to me.

sketch, your example is similar to what I mentioned, though with a one way instead of no left turn. What are you putting for date ranges on school days? Since we don't have any option right now, maybe just leave it as every day for now and we'll have another 7 months or so to get something better in place before it's not valid anymore?

Here is an example of that kind of restriction, though it's really hard to see. Basically, it's No Left Turn for morning and afternoon hours and the last line says School Days. Just so you have an example of that kind of restriction. If I can find a clear image of that kind of sign, I'll link the street view for you in case you want to include it in the Wiki.
