Diff Tool

Post by jondrush
Could someone tutor me in the diff tool? Wikimedia help doesn't help me. I just want to see what changed between history steps. Instead I see the entire page.

Oh, ok. I thought someone had somehow written some kind of diff tool for the map editor! And that somehow I had missed out on knowing it existed. :D

Diff tool for the WME would be nice though :p
Yep. I thought it was documentation about a map diff tool. I didn't really catch Jon's initial use "wikimedia" to mean about the wiki.

The Waze wiki USED to show this - but it disappeared in one of the recent "upgrades".

It broke about a month ago and I had them find the problem and fix it. Should stay fixed until they make another addition and not notice any broken elements again.

I noticed this to. Waze should fix this or revert to the last working software version and find out what went wrong.

On any page in the wiki, click on the history tab, then click "Compare selected versions".

You should see a page similar to this:
https://www.waze.com/wiki/index.php?tit ... ldid=45468

But you don't see the changes any more.

I know this issue is started around the implementation of the Mediawiki Language Extension Bundle. We (Benelux Champs) asked for this extension and I can only assume that the installation is not properly done and some error is causing the wiki to misbehave.
