Time until arrival in hours and minutes

Post by AlanOfTheBerg
Does anyone else feel it would make more sense to have the ETA flip between:
1. Time of arrival - hh:mm, as in 12:04pm
2. Time until arrival - h m, as in 2h 3m (instead of 123min as it currently says)

?

I find that long durations are too hard to convert. :) I know, whiner whiner. But telling the kids "in about 2 hours" is easier than "123 minutes" in my mind.

You can keep the eta and remove the "trip time duration"

Thanks :-)
You mention a pref file. Does it mean editing a file or I can modify it by the waze interface? In the first case... forget it :-); in the second... I can't find where.
First case! ;-)

Yes. That would be better.
Btw, I don't like so much the switching bètween the two times. I'm interested only in the time of arrival, so sometimes I must "wait" for the switch, looking at my phone instead of at the road.

The best would be having all of this customizable (what to display, and how).

The preference file should be one of the items that waze syncs with itunes (talking about the iphone of course). In this case it could be easily modified using any text editor in the pc and then sent back to the iphone during the sync. Easy to do, very useful for users.

I have absolutely no experience with Iphones, so I may be talking b*llsh*t...

Do they use a memory (SD) card? If so, you could try to take it out of your phone, plug in a card reader connected to your PC, and change the nescessary files.

I agree with this also. I am sure Waze does not want to clutter the interface, so they could put these infrequently modified options under an advanced option panel.

In no case should anyone have to modify a preference in a configuration file.
