iOS 8.0.2 and GPS - I want my Waze back

Since updating to iOS 8.0.2 Waze has trouble maintaining GPS and is unable to update position moment by moment. Is it a iOS bug that they will fix or is it Waze's ability to handle the new way the iOS tracks movement? Thought there would be lots to find on this on the web but unless I just missed it there isn't much of a problem for most users. I sure would like my waze back.

I haven't experienced any change in GPS on my iPhone 5 between iOS 7.1.2 and 8.0.2.

Waze update today (8.0.2) does not load. Got stuck at "phone number" page!!

Update: I have my waze back.

My waze gps went erratic since updating to ios8.0.2 with waze3.9.0. It worked again when I toggled off "Wi-Fi Networking" under the
Settings/Privacy/Location Services/System Services.
