Costco parking lot is HUGE. Directions lead you to the front door where there is no parking.
I'm sure we can come up with a boilerplate FRIENDLY and POLITE response for this particular complaint.

But I can see all kinds of "sent me around the block when I should have just gone in the parking lot" UR -type problems coming in this way.
Honestly I don't even understand what the Costco place issue was. It's not like there isn't a huge parking lot starting at the front door.
Didn't you know, waze is supposed to direct you to open parking spaces now.

Costco is actually set up the way wiki suggest you do it with the front entrance being the stop point? IIRC, it says to put that "where you would drop off someone". I guess you never really "drop someone off" at Costco.... What did you end up doing about the Costco issue? :D

Can't make them all happy.
Some complain because there is no parking near the entrance.
Center the stop point in the lot and then you get the URs that say "Starbucks is here, not over by the Verizon store"

Put the stop point at the door to the business and politely explain to the others that Waze is not designed to find their parking spot.

I would actually have to head off in some sideways direction, not closer to the store, to get to the named road Waze is telling me about.
This was somewhat mitigated in the latest release, and I have seen the impact.

For non-freeway segments, if there are more than 4 unnamed segments, or the total unnamed distance is more than 400m, the "use next named segment" is suppressed, so you should only get the named street if you are 4 or fewer segments away from the named road.

I've noted this change in a parking lot that I frequent.

You haven't been to my Costco.
Seems that getting a handicap tag for obesity is no longer enough. NOW someone drops them at the curb, then the able-bodied driver parks in the blue space.

Hi, regarding "place/place update rejected" - it would be ideal if we could let the user know why, e.g. visible license plate, faces...

Me either.

The thing about this one is that I can see lots of issues about "destination in the wrong place" and " wrong driving directions" starting to come in this way, and they won't always be so easy to understand as this one. Some might need some kind of dialog.

The really difficult thing about navigating in parking lots is that, when the parking lot road is unnamed, Waze insists on telling you to turn onto (some named road in the vicinity) instead of "parking lot road" or "unnamed road". Then we need to add many, many more junctions in parking lots to prevent Waze telling us to turn onto some named road when it really just what's us to turn left onto the "road" that runs along the front doors of the stores in the shopping center?
