You can still do it, I installed custom schemes on iOS 8 just the other day. Open iFunBox, in User Applications you should see Waze. Open it, then open the Documents folder within. Place your "skins" folder and accompanying folder structure/files into here.lakeyboy wrote:I tried to access this to change a skin the other day, as I used to a long time ago then I stopped bothering. Apparently on iPhones which have not been jailbroken, you can no longer access the .app folder for apps while using DiskAid or iFunBox or any program like that. From the info I could gather on the internet, access was blocked by Apple with the release for iOS8. So it looks like only jailbroken devices can have custom schemes now

Probably only because the creator didn't put it on there. I have a night theme for my Mk3 Ford Focus that I haven't published, but I could. I also have one to match my gf's Mk4 Ford Taurus (and probably reasonably well with lots of 90s-ish cars with generic green dashboard lighting ).serega_12 wrote: Question: why didn't this schema make the wiki page list? Maybe along with the other Audi/car night mode?

I keep a full copy of the "skins" folder on my hard drive, because it's totally removed any time you update Waze. So I just copy "skins" into "Documents" with everything inside of it.PesachZ wrote: None that I know of, my first step with any new beta is installing the themes, I'm sure sketch does something similar.
Although keep in mind, with new beta install you may need to reinstall the custom themes.
On Android I do this by having all my custom themes in a duplicate folder structure on my device storage. Then after a new install I copy the "day" & "night" folders containing the custom themes into the apps default folder. Using Astro File Manager for the copy, it gives me the option to merge the duplicate folders with the existing original folders, and then to overwrite the existing themes with the custom ones in the copied folders.
Using this method I can replace all my (3) custom themes into the correct locations with one action, and it takes only a few seconds.

Edit: Obviously any testing/feedback related to the map display should be done on the default theme, so don't overwrite the default.
If you do need to test/give feedback on the default theme, you'd need to make sure you grab the default theme from the Waze app and put it into your backed-up "skins" folder before moving the "skins" folder to the Waze app. The default theme hasn't changed in quite some time, though, and I usually run it for at least the first couple days of a new version (because I don't connect my phone to my computer very often).

Because you are using a dev version, this is the equivalent of the pre-8.3 Documents folder. Put it in here.reuvenirony wrote:I installed iFunbox and connected to my iphone6.

Sorry, place the "skins" folder directly into the main folder you see, the root [ Waze ] folder under iTunes File Sharing. This seems to have taken the place of the Documents folder that was previously available under iOS 8.2.x and previous.reuvenirony wrote: Hi

Where exactly should I put it?

Thanks, I couldn't find anything in the search, got it all figured out now. Might start making a scheme in my free time this weekend.AlanOfTheBerg wrote:Search is helpful. viewtopic.php?p=511130#p511130Slobalt wrote:Are those last two themes able to be added to ios devices? (iphone 4, jailbroken)

PesachZ, I saw you made a new Night Blue theme... which is indeed seems nicer. Wouldn't you want to make a day scheme based on the default one? I admit I don't like the Map Editors scheme, especially the red and yellow roads making harder to see the jams.
But a day scheme based on the default, with just a little bit of more color, thinner roads and other tweaks would be nice.
Till then, I am playing with Garminesque.
Great work both of you.
