Sync Waze btn ATT&T iPhone and Vrz ipad How?

I've used Waze for years on my AT&T iPhone; now I have a Verizon iPad with a different phone number.
I've been unable to login with the new iPad.
Which phone should I register with old one or both on the iPad?
The iPad won't accept my UserName and password.
Will I have to have two accounts or can I transfer my saved addresses from my iPhone to my iPad?

You can keep your account, in Waze login click on already have an account and fill in your username and Password

The login is not intuitive. You do not need to re-verify the phone.
Check the box that you are already a wazer (not the "skip" box), then input your ID and password... then skip the phone verification (it will send a text to your phone, but will auto-verify).
It'll take a few hours to update your points and status. Your icon will be the default pink wazer, so you'll have to adjust it if you want something different.

All of your friends and favorites are stored on the server so they will sync up.
