Agreed - in order to assess the "big picture" before I start blindly following Waze guidance...

Got the new version which is very nice btw, but having the navigation list available is extremely important for so many reasons! First and foremost, I like to know where I'm going before I go! Exit #s, certain streets you know to avoid for whatever reason, and the list goes on. It's so important that with all of the bells, whistles and cutsies in the new version, I'd like to go back to the old one. After all, functionality is what matters in the real driving world - getting from point A 2 point B! All the features are ok, but you spend more time looking at the road anyway!!

Oh, and is there a plan a route - in particular planning destinations along the route... stopping at the gas station, coffee shop, ATM, friends house along the way. I also found it VERY difficult to get to POIs with Waze. I type in "Dunkin Donuts" and my top 5 choices are in other STATES!!

You guys had to spend MOUNDS of time coding all of this "prettiness" in the app, and very BASIC functions are missing! It is by far the best and lovlilest navigation app for my iPhone, but you should also make it the best app to NAVIGATE!

I glance over it before I start driving if I'm going somewhere new. I like to have a general idea of where I'm going before I start driving... what exit to take, etc. I think that's pretty typical...

Exactly -- I always read the route list before I start driving, it tells me if Waze has a good idea of what's going on or not, and whether I want to override its decision early or not.

Sometimes Waze will say I need to go north when I think i should go west, so I bring up the navigation list to see what its long-term plan is. I drive 50 thousand km a year for work all over the province of Ontario and would just go back to my Tomtom if this feature were gone.

Not with just Waze, but I suspect there are others that use this feature. One for me was using a Nuvi to see a route across the country. It aided me in planning my trip. It will be missed if it disappears.

If I am going somewhere I haven't, I might know the basic route to getting there, I am wanting to make sure that part is at least accurate, and if it is not, I might want to go back and edit that in the editor and I might find there was some turn restriction, or a segment that isn't connected, so it aides me in many ways.

Another point...when you're out and about, live map won't help.

I understand your arguments of not having the navigation list, however, this is a diverse group of users regardless. There seem, to be an evident amount of users who rely on it, and then at the same time, most likely an equal amount that doesn't rely on it. However, it is something that was a core feature of the product, and for it to disappear allows us to still ask the question. As an editor, it is something I deem reliably helpful and I'll leave it at that.

Apple has it, but not Android yet.

being able to test routing in papyrus would be amazing, but i have a feeling it would be technically difficult.
Either way I would want the navigation list in the client. I often want to know several turns ahead of time when i'm in a strange place, especially if someone is following me and wants to know in case we get seperated.
