How can I save a location I didn't enter address for?

I can't seem to save a location into my favorites without having entered the address!

You can tap-hold on the map any time and save a favorite and that doesn't require an address. Not sure that's what you mean as you didn't provide much detail in terms of what you are doing/tapping to try and save the favorite. There's many different ways to save a favorite.
