Mood only shows when driving, so if you don't drive, why do you care?

Also, you don't need to use Waze for navigation, but your passive speed and location data is used to keep Waze navigation users from going down slow roads. You can run Waze anonymously and never show on the map when driving, but your data can still help make Waze for other users more accurate.

I believe it's 100 miles but yes you're correct, can't change mood until you "grow up" :-)

Please read the forum post that explains what must be done!

You must drive a minimum of 100 miles to change your mood.
IF you don't use Waze for driving, then don't bother trying.
You can edit maps at home only, you do not need Wifi on your phone for this (it's done on PC).
You need a data plan from your mobile network to use Waze (ideally).

How are you reporting a problem? On PC or mobile phone?
If mobile phone, the only problem that will be reported is one at your home.

What is the problem exactly??

Also, what is your native language, we may be able to make things easier :)

Are you trying to select the new mood at home while on WiFi or when you are driving with no data connection to Waze's servers? Are you getting an error message when trying to select another mood or is the option just not available?

Let's see if we can be more clear - I hope this helps:

* When you start with Waze you are a Baby Wazer.
* You can't set you mood when you are a Baby Wazer.
* You are a Baby Wazer until you drive 100 miles and Waze processes these drives.
* Baby Wazer status change has nothing to do with how many points you have. You can edit all day, but if you don't drive 100 miles (160 KM) you will stay a Baby Wazer.

The number of miles that Waze has processed can be seen on your Dashboard. Existing Miles.

If Existing miles are not > 100 miles (160 KM) you are still a Baby Wazer

See screen shot, last line. (this is from my dashboard)

You can update maps within 1 mile of where you have driven. If you never drive, you will never get permissions to update the maps - UNLESS you sign up to be an Area Manager. Area Managers can update maps in the Area that they are a manager of.

See the Wiki for instructions on how to be an Area Manager.

I was thinking the same thing about the mood.

Per an earlier post the OP does not have a cellular data plan. Seems that the expectation is to use Waze a home and be able to change the mood. I don't quite understand, but likely the OP's native language is not English so we need to cut him/her some slack.

OP - there are other forums here @ Waze for many other languages. Maybe it is easier for you to post in your countries language?
