After deinstall + re-install waze, works again... until I check the sync-events (calendar) option inside waze : it suddenly stops. Then all goes bad as before : Waze crash at starting of the app.

The font issue is a real problem. Centercode has many posts about it.
No idea why Waze decided to make this release public so quickly with some bad UI changes.

All of this was reported in Centercode during the Beta... I can't understand why they did put this version out so fast without solving known bugs...

I read that this was an intended change from Waze. Why, I don't know, but it's a feature, not a bugstimpy68 wrote:- When Waze is running, the taskbar icon is gone, when switching apps (not closing Waze), the icon appears in the taskbar.

The answer to this bug is in beta. You can expect a fast release if no major issues are revealed. It will probably be before the end of the week.FesterDC wrote:I have the same issue as a lot in this topic: Waze works fine until I enable the sync with the calendar. Then it crashes and I can only get it to work again by uninstalling & re-installing (=breaking the calendar link).
Given the fact that several people seem to have the same issue I'm hoping the Waze dev's come up with a quick fix very soon. I need that calendar integration

I have reported this in the Beta because I found it a clear bug and a really annoying one. The answer was : "This will be looked upon in the next Waze design revamp". Let's hope they will make good work of it !justdave72 wrote:Sometime in the last version or so there was an "Add photo" button added when you near your destination. When you have the phone in landscape mode, this button covers your destination so you can't see where you're going on the GPS map (oops). If you're going to cover the map with it, at least re-position the map so your current location and the next turn or destination are both visible, please!

My apologies if this is a known issue already.
elof_unit17 wrote: It looks the same on my Samsung Galaxy S6 (not the Edge model). The speedometer is partly covered by the button just as in Guiserguise's example.
This is not a problem though. The speed is visible.
Personally, I think the big black circle is too big and therefore unneccesarily cover the map. A smaller, rectangular black box, only showing one to three letters, is all that's needed. No "mph" or simillar.
There is a new design coming in. It is in development, so we can hope they will have thought of these problems. (note : We can expect it for end 2015 I would think.)

This sounds like a problem that happened on older versions of Waze but that was fixed in some last releases. Are you certain you use the last possible version of Waze?idisis wrote:Waze sometimes gets stuck when an ad pops up.
It occured to me in previous versions as well.
I use the app in horizontal mode on my 4.2.2 android car kit.
I noticed that it's not related to a specific ad.
Sometimes the same ad pops up without causing a crash.
It happens quite frequently
