The typical navigation line indicator on the client is purple. When you bring up the three route options, those show in purple, cyan and green.
This morning, I asked Waze to route me to work (verbally) and I took the default route. This route is not my preferred route, as it goes up and over a hill which is less gas efficient, but it's faster, so I took it because I was late. The navigation line it gave me for it was cyan colored. I've seen this before but never asked about it. I know that in the color scheme files, there are defined colors for alternate routes, but I'm not sure why Waze would pick this for the route I took. I didn't ask for alternates...
Any ideas or pointers on why this happens? What it signifies?

I've seen that happen too.
I was driving, but detoured to a faster route based on a stop light, which I hope Waze doesn't pick up on that as a preferred route, but anyways, it was magenta and then when cyan when it rerouted, and the voice went to the stock/ non-TTS type girl speaking, like the original voice prompts, no names. And then when it rerouted, it went back to normal when it recalculated a change in where I was going.
As far as the shields, I have them in my area too...do you need help in that?
