I'm on iOS 9 - iPad mini4 (not that that makes any difference).

I would ALSO like 'While using' added as an option.

The app hasn't but iOS has... and we've had several reports of things starting to act up since the recent updates.. I'm no specialist though.. not sure if it's connected but could be.

I hope that will be resolved soon as well.

In the meantime in case you did not know, Waze is working on a brand new app (version 4.0), but no ETA yet.

Hopefully that will solve a lot of problems and make things better in general.

I haven't closely looked if what you did was similar to what people tried in that one, but several people in that thread seem to have found a way to solve their issue.

Setting location services to "never" for an GPS app (which by definition needs it) is not really the best way to do this.

Have you looked at what others tried in the other thread link I posted above ?

ambo33, please read the other comments, especially at the link to the other topic that I posted above. People appear to have been able to solve this issue before.
