It will search just fine if I manually enter an address in the search bar

- In Trip advisor ( http://bit.ly/HittvR ) I tap on an address

- I tap on the destination

Known issue, we fix it for next version.

Probably bug: Yesterday I've noticed that "parking lot roads" are shown at an higher zoom level than "streets".

When starting Waze it attempts to initialize. After about 15-20 seconds I get an "Uh-Oh" message, Failed to initialize. No network connection. When I hit the OK button the app closes. I have a data and GPS connection because Google Nav works. I've tried rebooting the phone, putting it in and out of airplane mode, turning the data connection on and off. No luck. I am running on a Samsung Vibrant and beta 3.0.2.3,

I've had the same thing allready 3 times.
when I start waze, it suddenly reboots the phone.
Then after rebooting, allot of the program icons are really small, but some are normal..
The widget doesn't work anymore. When I start waze, it has forgotten al of my info and I get the uh oh message indeed.

If I then remove the app, Htc Sense crashes.
When sense is restarted the app icons are normal again.

Then I reinstall waze again and it works again. Till some days later...

pheltzer and petervdveen,

After you suddenly get the "Failed to initialize" message, does waze also ask you to log in again?

I'm trying to remember correctly.

It says, Initializing. (just like starting waze for the first time)
I see the blue standard car on the screen moving a bit up and down.
I see NO map.
Then I indeed suspect to see the login-screen, but instead I see the Uh Oh, no network message.
When I press OK, the app closes.

These screenshots are made at almost the exact position.
Still there is a difference of 4 minutes..

I wasn't able to get screen shots, but the speedo display was messed up above 60MPH yesterday - the "6" was garbled. When I passed 66MPH, both digits were garbled. I didn't get a chance to get to 88MPH to see if the date changed.

Also, while navigating, I've had a couple of "proceed to the highlighted route" messages while I've been driving on the marked section of road.

I am on a new Rom. RubiX ICS v5.3 (Modded 4.0.3)

This Rom has a lot of tweaks for battery life, signal, and GPS as well as being ICS. So far Waze has been pretty stable on this rom as well as battery life has improved slightly from what I was running before. Plugged into my charger with max amp at 2.1 amps My battery went from 100% to 93% in an hour drive to work. That is much improved. Also I had less signal dropping than before, Waze seemed to hold on to the signal the entire time I was on I-35 from what I observed. The only time I saw it drop is where I would have expected it to drop because of lack of total cell coverage. I also ran it for several hours yesterday and only had to change out the battery once, but I think that was due to running trillian, not Waze, I forgot to shut it down when I left the house and it is a big battery drain. (off topic, anyone know of a multi chat client which is easy on battery??)
***edit: I just checked my route to work and the entire route showed up instead of part(s) of it. Before I was losing ~10 miles a day due to Waze thinking that there were network issues. I think a lot of my issues had to do with how Waze was connecting to my network/gps on the old rom.***

So, so far the beta on this rom is great.

To answer a previous question I had earlier Green Peace is the default theme at install.

@Perlin, if you want me to switch to the other Rom and continue collecting data, let me know, I backed up my old rom before switching and do not mind switching back and fourth to continue testing for you.

The pop-up notification for Accident Reported Ahead still does not display, and as a result there's no way to press "not there" for accidents that have been cleared.

Hi,

I just installed on my android the beta 3.0.2.3 and became myself as a registered beta tester however I still can't make changes to my map nearby, even if I report issues on it for fixing, how can I get permission to do it or it still not available for my region?

thanks.
