Sending a computer searched/found address to the app

If I'm looking at the live map at waze.com on my computer, or at any map on my computer, there should be a simple way to send information to the Waze app on my android device (certainly from waze.com) -- information like an address, or, obviously, a route searched for at waze.com.

I can't find such a way.

Does one exist? If so, how do I use it?

I'm also surprised that, despite my having a fully trusting/naive setting for privacy, when I'm in the app, recently searched for addresses using Google Maps or even waze.com don't show up as part of recent history.

Is there a way to send a chosen route from a PC lookup directly to my phone as I can with Google maps?

Right, but Android certainly has information about what apps are doing, and shares info among apps, if you let it (and even if you don't...). Seems that there should be a way to have searches done in other apps show up in Waze's search history.

But, mainly, my ? is: if I'm logged into my waze account at waze.com, and do a search, certainly THAT should be available when I'm logged into the app with the same account, right? Maybe it is and I just haven't found it?

Thanks for the info! But I must say, golly, I would expect there to be the option of sharing between waze.com and the app. The benefits are so enormous and the programming task so minimal. Why not? ONly pluses. Do a search at the nice big waze.com site/map on my computer, consider various alt. routes, other options, make my decision, right-click, "send to phone", get in car, open Waze, and there it is, and press "Go"! ... instead of sitting in my car, often with bad lighting, pecking on the phone keyboard (or still imperfect voice-rec.), to get the address I want, etc.

That can be possible as it is implemented in Google Maps. Make your suggestion be heard by Waze staff at Waze Uservoice. Thank you!

A workaround (not perfect) is to add the address to a Calendar appointment (which if you have calendar sync turned on in waze will initiate a Planned Drive) .
(possibly, you can add the address to a Gmail Contact which you can then open on your phone and use the 'navigate to' function to send to Waze app, but I haven't tested this so ymmv)

Create trip on computer, sync to device(s)

I have an iPad mounted on the dash, but it's still more convenient to check drive times ahead of time on my Surface before I get in the car. I'd love an option to create a trip (or a favorite) on the computer under my Waze account and have my devices (iPad if I'm in my car or phone if in gf's car) have those as favorites to save the re-input.

There is no connection between Google maps and Waze regarding search history, they are completely different systems.

That connection between Waze.com and the app doesn't exist, I imagine most of the dev work is focused on the app and not the live map though.

Though Google owns Waze, Waze operates pretty much independently and with their own development team. So I wouldn't expect there to be any links or history sharing between their apps.
