Highway non-cardinal direction letters are still being mispronounced as North, South, East, West. This has been happening for quite some time now, though it is likely a routing server error, not the app.

Non-cardinal direction letters?

Non-cardinal letters in highway names. (The "direction" word should not have been in there.)

I'm assuming it'd be something like "Ulysses S Grant Blvd" being pronounced "Ulysses South Grant Blvd"... right?

Maybe, though I think that issue has never been solved. This is for highways/interstates like "State Hwy 99W" or "I-35E" where the letters are part of the name, not their direction. 99W has N/S segments, so Waze says, "... 99 West South" which is totally wrong. This was reported two betas ago, and received no response from perlin or anyone. viewtopic.php?p=191285#p191285

There is the "Not Offered" button (or similar name). I see "NA" for some prices now.

I, too, find this annoying, but wonder about places where the decimal after the first digit cannot be assumed. Do we go to country-specific keyboard UI now?

mapcat wrote:"Lane closed" apparently sounds like "ice" when I say it. That must have amused the people following me, since it's over 30°C here today.

"Land Closed" is extremely hard to get recognized. You posted a phrase before which I used once and it seemed to work. "linclazd" or something like that. Very fast. You cannot separate "lane" and "closed" and have it work. Needs to be fixed, for sure.

"lane closed"
"laneclosed"
"lencloze?" (mimic of app pronunciation)
"LANE CLOSED"

"@#&%^&^#!!!"
and none of them worked successfully.

I'll try again on my way home.

mapcat wrote:How far up the tree can you skip when making a report? I know that (usually) just saying "police" worked (I didn't need to say "report" first). But that seemed to be the only one. No commands are duplicated, right? It would be nice to be able to three-tap and say "construction" and have it post a construction-on-road hazard. Or a monsoon.

Unsure. I haven't tried single-word reporting. But I can usually get a first-try report to post correctly by saying, "Report Moderate Traffic" or "Report. Hazard. On Road. Object."

Not on the iPad. Can't recall if there were NA's in any boxes before...I do recall seeing fewer bogus prices over the past few days, so there may have been some adjustments on the back end prior to release.

That's odd. The "Not Offered" and "Next" buttons are slim little guys which, on the phone, appear between the prices and the input keypad.

I too found it not recalculating when driving off-route today. I have a feeling, though, this is a server issue not app.

Vocal commands for "ice" and "lane closed" are nearly impossible to get recognized. For lane closed to work, you must say it extremely quickly and as if you are ending a question. Both of these need to be tweaked in the app to make it actually usable without having to know the secret tricks.

That's a routing server issue and not specific to any client. It's happening to everyone.

I don't understand the "carefulness" being provided now. Waze already changed it recently without asking which is what broke it in the first place. Just put it back the way it was! You don't need to double check with us to fix what you broke. Just make it work like before. Am I missing something here?
