The ASR indeed behaves differently on iOS in comparison to Android.AlanOfTheBerg wrote:Interesting that the versions behave differently. I thought the same software was being used in both... Sometimes I'd rather the iOS one did ask for verification more often as it has posted something completely not what I intended too. It's good you brought this up as perhaps there is a settings difference coded in the two OS versions? Perlin?crazycaveman wrote:I was not aware of this. I always get asked to confirm on Android (and never had a misheard command), but on my iPad, I asked it to shutdown and instead it thought I reported police. That's why I figured I'd ask...
On Android it's based on Google speech recognition engine (which asks for verification after every voice command) while on iOS it uses a different engine (OpenEars), that doesn't ask to confirm every voice command, only a few.

Did you send logs for that commute?AlanOfTheBerg wrote:In general, requesting alternate routes is buggy and does not work reliably when you have a Stop Point in place. Most often, after an alternate route is selected, the pink line disappears even though the stop point still appears to be active. However, bringing up the route info shows the default "1min .1mi" display which never changes, and Waze is actually, at this time, routing to your final destination and not the stop point.

Should be fixed now.Dave2084 wrote:Price entry in iOS, 130.9 becomes 130.8
You can change it in the translation file.Dave2084 wrote:A Translation issue, almost everywhere it displays Petrol Stations (assuming you use the "UK English" Language) but this one slipped through the net
We'll fix that.Dave2084 wrote:The station Info screen inconsistent with price entry screen. "LPG" and "Super UL" in Price entry become "Lpg" and "Super ul" in station info, additionally here the price IS STILL displayed as Dollars
Thanks, we are aware of that.Dave2084 wrote:Formatting error for phone number in Station info page, this only occurs when adding a station as a stop en-route
Dave2084 wrote:The search list for both direct navigation and adding a station as a stop en-route seem to have a lot of wasted space. Should the address of the station be here?
Indeed.
Confirmed. This is for sponsored stations.Dave2084 wrote:Other observations include a lack of brand logos, can Waze confirm that this is only available for stations who offer a discount?

kiwize, thanks for the detailed corrections.kiwize wrote:And one more that I see all the time:
"Ok" is incorrectly capitalised.
The proper capitalisation for okay is "OK" or "O.K." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Okay)
On computers and electronic devices it is usual to use the first abbreviation, being simply "OK"
Waze uses "Ok" which looks wrong, strange, and like a poorly translated text
Can someone also fix all the Oks to become OKs?
However this is a topic for beta related issues, so all translation/grammar issues are handled in a different place. Please send your corrections to translations@waze.com

I'll check this issue.Dave2084 wrote:It is still not working for me.perlin wrote:Should be fixed now.Dave2084 wrote:Price entry in iOS, 130.9 becomes 130.8
Edit the existing file and send it as an attachment to translations@waze.comDave2084 wrote:I can edit the translation file or a new one is going to be pushed to the client?
Thanks for the idea. We'll take it into account!Dave2084 wrote:May I suggest also that the prices be (optionally) enabled on the map all the time to bring the new feature to the forefront of Waze, as it's currently pretty well hidden! That way you'll be able to see if prices are out of date instantly, plus you could tap on to price to navigate to the station OR enter the price (if close enough).

It has been reported before. Can you confirm that it's happening to you only when you disable auto-zoom? Try setting the auto-zoom to speed or distance and see if the issue repeats itself.kpouer wrote:Hi, I don't know if it was reported before because the bug existed in previous version too, but here it is:
when asking waze for alternative road, it suggest me 3 roads.
Then if I click on the "map" to see them, when I choose one and do "go", I see the map in 2D (but my settings are 3D, it seems Waze do not want to switch back to 3D).
Of course I can go to settings and switch to 3D again but it is annoying.
And the other annoying bug is that it doesn't follow my position. Even if I click on the button to center on me, nothing happens.

That's indeed odd. I failed to reproduce (on a jailbroken iPhone).ktjensen wrote:Error of a quarter size map on my iphone. can not seem to fix. of course running the latest version
I believe your assumption that a specific app is causing it is correct. Can you figure out which one?

1. Does it happen to you when using other music apps?magfro wrote:When I use Spotify in the background and Waze in foreground on my iphone4 I have the following complaints:
1) When turn by turn navigation is on and sound is on, Waze starts to fade out the music in the background to early, taking a few seconds to reach silence and then waiting some more before telling me to turn left or similar.
2. Does anyone else have this problem?

Great catch! It will be fixed soon.dsdaraujo wrote:WeeeZer14 wrote: Maybe related to the fact that Brazil should be using a comma and not a decimal? The client is putting in the decimal automatically but then the client is choking because it wants a comma?
Hmmmm...
I think that's the point. I made a test and changed the Region Format to English/USA, and then the bug disappeared. I could type the 4 digit gas price normally!
Well, so that's the problem. And it's still a bug. I hope Waze team can fix it soon, because here in Brazil our Region Format uses the comma as decimal separator, and I believe 99.9% of Brazilian Waze users don't use USA Format in their iOS's.
