Last weekend while walking on a walkingtrail in the woods, I saw a car carefully manouevering its way back to the paved streets - backwards. A quick check showed that Apple-maps (and Apple-maps alone) suggested that the walkingtrail was a paved street.

iOS v3.2.2.0 official feedback thread

I'm running waze on iPhone 4S ans IOS 6 without any problem.
If there are crashes it is possible that waze data are corrupted. Removing it completely then reinstalling it may solve the problem.

Translation/pronunciation Problem?

I have read the previous 11 pages, and am not sure which forum post to ask this question. Starting here, because I'm using the iPhone client. Where should I post to inquire out the translation/pronunciation error?

Audio Español (Diego)
Location: Northern California

Street names that are pronounced incorrectly

The format below is: What is on the waze screen for the street name - What Diego says (translated word) - What the English word is.

Dr - Doctor (Doctor) - Drive
SR - Señor (Mister) - State Route
N - Nueva (new) - North
S - Segundos (seconds) - South

Examples:
"Vista Dr." is pronounced "Vista Doctor"
"I-280 S" is pronounced "ee dos cientos ochenta segundos"

Would it be more appropriate for it to just pronounce the letter(s) instead? Diego uses the the letters for E(ast) and W(est).

Why would Doctor, Señor, Nueva, o Segundos ever be used in TTS anyway? Ok...maybe Doctor our Nueva might be used in a street name, but they wouldn't have to be abbreviated.

The N and S is the most ridiculous, being that North/Norte and South/Sur could be abbreviated the same way in either language.

"Dr." as written above should be "doctor." "Dr" should be "drive."

TTS abbreviations are language dependant. You can contact support to add or change how abbreviations are used in your country.

Why won't they split US and UK English then? We have our own conventions.

Is it a client-side or server-side issue when the app gives RLC alerts too far in advance. I've found (again?) that I'm getting alerts at around 520 meters away from the camera and not 500ft as the app shows.

I've measured this distance in the editor and confirmed this is actually 500m+.
