Sometimes seems to easy what's not. As stated before, please be patient!, staff is working to bringing back "friends" feature because community, I mean, you and also me, asked for it.

I've never had a Facebook account and still have no desire to do so.

All I want to do is link my Waze account with my partner's Waze account.

Oddly I logged into this forum using my Waze account not Facebook, and I could have logged in using my Google account too. So clearly the two Dev groups have some childish disagreements going on here, and the test team probably tried to highlight the usability issues.

I'm enjoying some of the new features introduced but this one is a step backwards.

Same here. Why do they try to force us to use facebook?

I'd like to know more about this as well.

1) I never get the tracker on the side that shows where my brother is when we are headed to the same location. EDIT: Looks like maybe if you have facebook this feature is back...Settings-Social Networks-Facebook-Friends on the way

2) Whenever somebody share's a drive with me, the only info I really get is their initial ETA. I can't go in, see where they are on the route, and see an updated ETA.

What gives? These were 2 of the best features....

I seem to have an account issue, and it might be related to a recent update.

I no longer seem to be logged into my account. My friends no longer appear online. I can not share a drive. In fact when I go to share a drive, it lists all my contacts and says "invite to Waze".

I noticed recently I had to verify my phone number again. I've done this. I've also tried logging out and logging back in. I've never had my acct sync with FB.

My wife is pissed I can't share my drive home anymore, and I can't see when she shares one with me.

Any thoughts?

Still same problem here. Why does Waze think that everybody has a Facebook account ? And even if they have one , I might not want to be friends on Facebook but still want to connect on Waze (being temporarily). And why that all or nothing option ? Is this a Facebook info gathering trick by google? I want a better control on my privacy.

So my husband thought he could figure out the friends issue on his own (some friends do work from my phone, but not him), and he ended up deleting himself from my friends list. Is there any way to get him back? I’ve tried disconnection/reconnecting Facebook.

If that were to ever happen then I would stop using Waze. The friends list and notifications are what set it apart from Google Maps.
