TomTom IQ Routes are bugged tho. Keeps preferring to route me down small country roads with no speed limit set >.<. Apparently in TomTom Speak no speed limit means you can drive as fast as you want. So I turned of IQ Routes and get more consistant routes :P

My GF has an IQ enabled TomTom. Sends you to odd places - routes through long country lanes that will add miles to your journey, through housing estates where only one car can move down the streets at a time because of parked cars on both sides, it loves trading estates especially when the exit on the other side has gates or is blocked off, roads with speed bumps that everyone avoids but TomTom must think the road is clear as nobody is going that route so thinks it is faster.

TomTom also likes you to drive through central reservations and do u-turns on major roads too.

I think TomTom IQ Routes is mainly based on historical data. You know, this road is the way to go anytime, but really suck 8-9am M-F, etc...

Those are two completely different systems from 2 different companies.
The function is quite the same though.

waze is free and tomtom is paid ;)
