This is an obvious glitch in the system. Like the last poster stated; start a drive then share drive. This will ask you for access to your contacts and enable contacts for future drives. For such a sophisticated app, you think they'd make it easier to add your contacts, sheesh. Then again, why should we complain since it's free?

This is an old thread but I could not find anything else.

There is no "Phone Number" field in my Account & Login page.  So no way to perform that action mentioned in this thread.

Contacts is enabled in Waze under iPhone settings.

Any Current suggestions with the current version of Waze on how to navigate to a contact?

Tap the Menu .
Type your contact's name and tap when you see it.
Waze searches for the address associated go apk with the contact, and will show a list of addresses like a regular search. Tap the correct search result.
Tap go to start navigation.

I had the same issue and have just figured this out.

First make sure you have verified your phone number with Waze. Settings > Account & Login > Phone.

Once you've done that, tap the search bar. Then you should see an option to search contacts. Once you've enabled Waze to have access to your contacts you can then search for you contacts as you did before for Mike.

It should then appear underneath favourites.

If not, log out and log back in. They are the steps I took.

No probs. Waze do make you search for these things.

I found this, as well as trying to plan a route from an origin other than your current location, not very intuitive.

I have the same issue. I logged in and out. There is no option to connect my iPhone Contacts. Facebook exists but I do not use it.
Any other suggestions?

None of these options worked. The buttons and/or paths that are described here don’t exist.   I’m using Waze on iPhone IOS 17.3.1
