Route Validation

I think something that would be very helpful to those editing a map would be a route validation tool. A tool where you can make or highlight a route from point “A” to point “B”, hit go and validate the route. Then, if there is an error, we could maybe drill down from the first turn that has a mistake to get the route corrected. Thoughts?

There's a few threads about this already. The problem right now is there are no servers which can do routing against the edit map. It's been proposed to Waze and they have said it sounds like a good idea, but there are several technical hurdles or overcome, so I wouldn't expect to see anything like this for quite some time. The livemap with the navigation list add-on (see the wiki community plugins page) is about as good as we can get. You can plan a route and look for incorrect turns and investigate on the edit map.
