Voice direction sound is not working (sporadically)

Hi,

My mother is using an iPhone 8 OS, with the latest update installed for both Waze and the OS.
Even though the voice direction is on and at full volume, in most cases she doesn't get any feedback from the app while navigating. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall, with no improvement.

Can you please help?

I have the same issue! No audio at all from WAZE, no matter how far up I turn the volume when it's supposed to be speaking. SO FRUSTRATING! I've tried everything - reboot iPhone 11 pro, uninstall, reinstall WAZE, remove vehicle from CarPlay and re-add it. Removed other WAZE audio sources such as Spotify, etc - NOTHING WORKS!!! This started immediately after the recent CarPlay update - so I can only guess the culprit is WAZE - Thanks GOOGLE for taking a great app and turning it into TRASH.
