Perlin, can you comment on this too?
Please provide more information: screen resolution, auto-zoom selection and a screenshot.

Other gps applications ("navigation") don't have this problem.
Can I configure my phone different to solve it?
I believe it will eventually be fixed later.
You could buy an original car dock from your phone's brand if it has audio out and your radio supports this.
I did the same thing

The smartphone operating system: Android 2.3.6 official version.
The smartphone model: Nexus One.
Waze version: 3.5.1.4 (downloaded yesterday).
I am playing the audio through the smartphone speakers.
I am using waze application only. no other audio program is being executed at the same time.
I have detected a problem in my phone and it is that the indications of the waze are really low, (even if I have the audio settings as laud as possible). I can hardly hear them. I have tested it using different voices (spanish monica, spanish diego, english tom) and nothing changed.
Please, fix this issue in the next updates.
Thanks a lot and best regards.
this is a known issue related to tts which is not made by Waze
