Groups issue

I have two questions / issues
First, starting from last night, I can't access the Groups from my phone in Waze. Is this a known issue or a bug at my end? It says the Groups are not available, but I was able to access them earlier that evening.
My other question is about the username. I created a new group, and was hoping it would show as my nickname (as the group creator), but it shows my usa_xxxxxxx username instead.
Is there a way to change my usa_xxxxxxx name to something else, or set the group to show my nick instead of this name?
