Points when losing connection or crash?

I was wondering:
1. ...when points for driving existing roads are submitted to the server? Is this all the time while driving or only on exit?
2. What happens if I drove for, say, 90 minutes online and at the end, just before exit, the network connection is lost and I exit without an active connection. Are all points gone then?
3. and what if after 90 minutes my phone hangs and I need to remove the battery to reset the phone? Happens about every 5th drive.

I hope points count, so that drive wasn't useless in terms of Wazing :-)

I'm afraid it doesn't work exactly as expected, or as it was designed.

I was already wondering why my recent trips didn't generate that many points.

Yesterday I drove almost 90 minutes (appr. 175 kms) and when I stopped for a coffee after 165 kms because I was a little early, I got back in the car and my phone had hung at exactly the position I was in at that moment. So, Waze knew until I stopped for the coffee where I was. I took out the battery, rebooted the phone and started Waze again and drove the last 10kms.

However if I look in my archive (http://world.waze.com/WAS/gpx?id=1103048) and more specifically the first route on that day (rm_07_04_10_2800527577_37478.gpx), only the final part of this trip was recorded. The trip back home again didn't even show in the archive at all.

Thus...it appears that you have to have a live connection all the way up until you have properly shut down Waze. Any loss in connection or any crash/hang of the phone until then makes you lose your trip.

Oh, I'll be patient, but since the other trips of that day (also the ones later on that day) showed up, I thought the others were lost.

Funny, after posting I checked and the other (and older ones) of that day popped up. Case closed

Sorry I doubted your expertise
I installed the WVGA yesterday and besides from looking soooooo much prettier, it seems to be more stable and more responsive than the VGA version. I didn't know of the bugs in the 1.5.x.. Is it better to install the 1.4.x then?
