Is there a GPS timeout function in the Waze preferences?

The GPS on my Galaxy Note can be slow sometimes...as in taking two or three minutes to get a lock. Normally this isn't a very big issue except that unlike other GPS apps and Navigation clients, Waze seems to "give up" after trying to get a GPS lock for 1 minute. That is, it will try to locate for 1 minute, then stop, then try again for another minute. If it takes longer than 1 minute to get a GPS signal, Waze will pretty much never find one.

I skimmed the prefs file and found several references to the GPS but I'm not entirely sure which one is the one I'm looking for. Anybody know? Thanks!

Hi,
I am having the same issue with chinesse smartphone.
Did you find any solution?
The only workaround i found is locking gps with some gps test program
And only afterwards openning waze.

Don't know about waze's settings, but you can try using gps status app:
