Higher contrast color schemes

I really like Waze. Unfortunately, my usual GPS is my iPhone 4S mounted on my motorcycle handlebars and, at roughly 2.5 feet viewing distance, the map colors on Waze just don't have enough contrast - especially in daylight. It's too difficult to tell the roads from the landscape.

Would it be possible to develop some map choices with higher contrast colors? I had to resort to purchasing Sygic because of it's more pronounced colors were superior for distance viewing but I really like the features and the community spirit of Waze and would prefer to use it!

From a community-perspective, if you can post a picture of a Sygic view, then someone could devise a Waze color scheme which you could install manually. Or, you could do the same yourself. It's not that difficult. There are threads about it already. Search for "color scheme" or "color theme" or "color schema" for the relevant threads.

Recently, it was reported that access had been restricted by iOS 6. I thought that I was able to make changes since then. However, today, I find I am unable to rename any schema (color skins) files or copy new files into Waze.

Here are a few examples. The darker contrasting landscape makes for much easier reading at a distance.

Have you tried the "map editors" color scheme? It seems like it would be similar to those screenies, or at least better than the other schemes.
