Meaning of icons in the application

On my Symbian-phone (Nokia N95), there are some symbols on the top of the application. The first is the Waze Logo, the second being GPS receival, the third whether I am online or not.
Than there is this "moody" thing, smiling like Chucky and another symbol. Most of the time it shows a red ! and a number (20 or 21). What is this?!

The 'Moody' thing is the icon you are showing to other users. The red ! is the number of 'alerts' in your general (quite broad) vicinity. Touch it to see the list of active road alerts.
