I don't even have "Maps" show up in my consumer list...

Like everything in this life it all depends who is counting the beans. :)

I am running HTC One with Google Edition ROM. Waze does not show up as battery consumer at all.

Display controls 'overlap' on Galaxy S4.

Running WAZE 3.7.2 on a Samsung Galaxy S4. When the phone is positioned on its side so the display is in landscape mode, there are graphics that overlap one another that interfere with normal use of the interface. Specifically, the lower left-hand menu icon overlaps the 'my location' icon and the lower right-hand icon overlaps the 'zoom out' icon.

Is this something requiring a software update, or is this something I can adjust, and if so, where?

Pretty sure that's one of the known issues for this release.

Question, though, simply out of curiosity - why are you using it in landscape mode? On my S3 (which has only a slightly smaller screen), landscape mode doesn't show me enough of the map IMHO. While in navigation mode, the map is all but unusable because the next turn instruction is covering the top third of the map. I feel that in portrait mode I can see more of the map and get a better idea of conditions coming up - as long as there are no major turns in my near future, that is ;)

Flickering in Night mode

Postby Dazwold » Tue Jul 02, 2013 11:31 pm

Hi, Long time user, first time feedbacker...

Firstly, I'd love to know the algorithm for selecting Night Mode automatically. Back about 6 months ago, it worked flawlessly, flicking over to night mode at dusk, and day mode at dawn. Use it during the day, and it was in day mode. Since about 4 updates ago, the Auto mode is very hit and miss. I wonder if it has anything to do with Regional settings, which are set to New Zealand, and the clock/GPS time shows up correctly.

On a slightly different note, since the upgrade to 3.7.2 on my Motorola Actrix, Android version 2.3.4, I have had the night mode flickering at me - the display seems to update once a second, and shows alternating positions for street names, and then back to the original position. I have tried reinstalling the App but no change.

Other than a few niggles, still the best SatNav and social App ever!

This problem exist since November 2012. Ever since Droid DNA (1920x1080) has entered the market. Waze acknowledges the problem but they refuse to do anything about it.

Let's hope that ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) will move them forward.

:)

My first post here, using waze since 2 years, first on galaxy S2, then on galaxy S3 and now on Galaxy S4.
I found the same issues, speedometer quite small, and hidden by report button.
Can it be fixed ?

The question isn't "can it be fixed" because any IT professional knows that it can with some code tweaking. The question is "will it be fixed". That one hasn't been answered yet.

I am having the same issue.
It will be fixed, sometimes in the future, but probably on the next major release like 3.8.
