I find that the initial routing suggested often assumes I am headed in a direction (often based on my heading when the prior trip ended) opposite to how I intend to start out. A great feature would be to provide that a long press on the icon showing your own vehicle would reverse that assumption. When your trip ends in a parking lot, you will often want to head in the direction that you came from (assuming it is not a one way street) when you leave the parking lot. An easy way to reverse the assumption as to your initial heading would be welcome.
