The power feature for the GPS is a wish list item. This is currently not a feature of the BlackBerry Beta.

The shortcuts for BB all follow the letters since it is primarly a keyboard and not a numeric pad. Many of your functions do not match up with this list. I listed them in numeric order (1-9) by keyboard letter.

Q/A - Zoom in / Zoom out
W - Align North
E - Go to Favorites
R - Report
S - Scroll to Previous Alert
D - Change to Night Mode
F - Sroll to Next Alert
Z - Report Map Problem
X - Cancel Scrolling
C - Toggle Navigation Guidance

waynemcdougall wrote:So @Bullety and @Hemibat, I have here a list of keyboard shortcut controls that are supposed to work on all models. If any of these are new to you, please let me know if it adds features to the Blackberry version that you didn't know it had:

1
Toggle between the map showing North at the top, and the direction of travel being at the top
2
Toggle between Day and Night display
3
Toggle spoken turn-by-turn directions on and off
4
Show the most distant road report
5
Toggle between 2D and 3D maps
6
Show the closest road report
7
Toggle road recording on and off
9
Exit the app
*
Zoom in on the map display
#
Zoom out on the map display
0
Display favourite destinations

Here's for WinMo on Touch Diamond2:

Select a road and edit the name, type and city for that road
Rotate maps (change orientation)
Remove an individual event from a list of events
Option to disable tweeting that you are connecting to Foursquare
Display your points and your rank (placing) compared with your Facebook friends who use Waze (weekly and for all time)
Option to have a link to your Facebook profile linked with your wazer icon on the map: to everyone, to no one, or to friends only
Option to have a link to your Twitter profile linked with your wazer icon on the map: to everyone, to no one, or to friends only
Built in summary of what Waze does and how it works, with screenshots
Video guided tour to using Waze
Draft an email for you to send telling people about Waze and how to get it
Popup to review Waze on Chop - Good or Bad with optional 60 character comment
Popup to review the Waze app on Chomp - Love or Hate rating, with optional 60 character comment
Link to the iTunes App store for you to rate (1-5 stars) the Waze app, and optionally write a review
Find groups that are nearby, popular or by searching the name
Join a group
Choose your main group
Create (start) a group, linking it to a Twitter account and a Facebook page
Quit (leave) a group
Play music and access music controls
Automatic music volume reduction when spoken turn-by-turn instructions are given
Choose backlight on or off

I know some features are iPhone specific, don't expect it to be in WinMo version.
Thanks for your help.
Just a small fry from Malaysia.

Thank you Wayne for organizing this.
Just to be clear - disabling the typing is available on ALL platforms, but it is based on your location (i.e. in some countries it's allowed, in others - it's not)

Android 2.0.0.1

Typing is disabled while the vehicle is moving, for your safety
Link to the iTunes App store for you to rate (1-5 stars) the Waze app, and optionally write a review

These aren't features on the Android version.

Play music and access music controls

I've read quite a few posts saying that bluetooth music controls don't work in this new version, but I haven't tried it myself.

Built in summary of what Waze does and how it works, with screenshots
Video guided tour to using Waze
Popup to review Waze on Chop - Good or Bad with optional 60 character comment
Popup to review the Waze app on Chomp - Love or Hate rating, with optional 60 character comment

These are things that I don't *think* are included in the Android version because I can't find them anywhere. However, if you tell me specifically where these features are located I will check and confirm for sure.

Everything else listed is included in the Android client.

Went in and checked, and the Android version definitely doesn't support any of these. Under the "Help/Support" menu there are only two options: "Send logs" and "About". No guided tour and no waze app review.

I checked to see if there is any link to the android market to review, and I couldn't find it located anywhere so I'm 99.9% sure this isn't an option either (I looked in every menu pretty thoroughly).

About map rotation: to be honest, I never tried to rotate the map in any way other than just tilting my phone (which would change the map to landscape mode). I didn't realize there was a different way to rotate the map, but I just messed around with it and couldn't get it to rotate any way other than that.
