That is good news. Any idea when the new version for WP will be released?Froggypwns wrote:Good news regarding power drain, the latest beta of the Windows version uses quite a bit less power, so you won't drain as fast if you aren't on a charger or have a low spec one.

Not according to the change log. This release is mainly to reduse the biggist issue, the batery drain.josefec wrote:The newest version currently in the WP Store is 3.7.4.5, just to make sure we are talking about the same version…
In this version, I still cannot connect to Facebook. When I click on Connect with Facebook, it just goes back to the main menu screen (i.e. left menu screen). Should the Facebook connecting be fixed or not yet in this version?
If you have a Android or iOS device, you can use that the connect to facebook.

Correct, that is how I did it. It is the link between your Waze and Facebook accounts that need to be set.josefec wrote:But do you mean that when you connect once on any device, you’ll then be connected on all devices?

I'm afraid not. Screen will be gone, but I have the feeling that the calculation is then done on the phone in stead of the server. And on the phone it only looks at the shortest route, not the fasted.Froggypwns wrote:Not a big deal but pressing the back button fixes it.

I just realize there was a WP thread. I just posted a Screen Burn-in issue here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=72336&start=10#p833585
I don't know if they will continue it, but i don't see it as discrimination or monopolising, after all, there is also the iOS version.

If you moved from Symbian to WP just for Waze, you better moved to Android or iOS

no issues on my lumia 520, just wish is had more features (voices? voice recognition?)
Lumia 920
Been using almost 2 weeks, roughly 2 hours per day.
Issues:
1) Phone completely shuts down. Happens roughly every other day. Must hold down power button for 3 sec to get phone to start back up.
2) traffic colors are inconsistent. Road color coding to indicate speed is spotty at best.
3) Other waze-ers icons on map do not move. Its as though waze takes a snapshot at a point in time and shows that to you until you leave the range of that snap at which point it takes another snap.
4) the notification that another waze-er has thanked you occasionally repeats over and over, requiring waze to be restarted to clear.
5). Occasionally while using a BT headset for a phone call while waze is navigating, waze's turn by turn instructions queue up, then spew out in 1 long stream as soon as the phone hangs up.

However, thank you for the app. It was the one app I missed when I went from iPhone to windows phone.
