If you don't get an ETA in the lower black box, waze/your phone has no data connection.
If you are positive that data connection was available, close and restart waze the next time.
No ETA means no data is available...

First off, the self help search link at the beginning of this topic is broken.

Phone: Nokia Lumina 630, WP8.1
Bugs:
1)My Waze inbox never retrieves messages. I get notifications, but the messages never open.
2)When I leave work in the evening and open Waze, it starts navigating my route automatically. This annoys the heck out of me, because I never asked it to, and it starts talking to me via bluetooth and interrupting my jams.
3)Whenever I report something I get a black screen overlay with a spinning thingy, and it never goes away until I press the back arrow, which then tries to close the program. This is an issue because I'm driving and don't want to have to spend much time looking at my phone while still trying to report stuff to other Wazers.

I know these have been addressed in the last few pages of this topic. Just wanted to add mine in the hope these get fixed sooner. I happen to really like the Windows Phone OS, and don't plan on switching back to Android.

I totally understand your frustration, and would be tempted to do the same, but I guess I'm being a bit optimistic and thinking that if I keep using Waze for WP, and others do as well, the numbers might just add up to what Waze/Google have set as a limit for support.

Hi.

I'm new to Waze, and am getting acquainted with the Windows version's several deficiencies: lack of voice command, inability to report gas prices, high power consumption, etc. (I also gave the manual parking pin a try, but couldn't get that to work either.)

That being the case, I'm looking forward to when there will be a new release of the Windows Phone software. Can we be notified of that when it occurs? Or can we have a place to look for an announcement?

Thanks,
OPElly

(Nokia Lumia 925)

(pressing "Back" button to shut down and then cancelling shut down will get rid of the spinner)

thanks!
I have the same problem on a Lumia 521.

Here's a bug I couldn't reproduce if I tried. :-)

When approaching my destination, I take a route that deviates from the Waze directions. I exit the freeway one exit sooner, and take a side street to the one my destination is on. It's a couple of blocks different, but more direct. Waze recalculates the route as I do so.

This morning, the recalculated directions instructed me to drive past my destination (which is on the corner of an intersection), continue a block beyond, then make three right turns to circle the block until I arrived again at the intersection--though on the adjoining street rather than the actual address.

I can tell Waze hasn't lost the GPS signal, since it shows the location of my car.

Cheers,
OPElly

I have a quick question, and a tip:

Here' my tip: to get Waze launch on WP without crashing right away, I launch Waze, then before it crashes, hold the windows back arrow until the app shrinks (to that minimized view of apps). Then press the windows start menu button. Now wait about 10 seconds, and run Waze again (or switch using the windows back arrow again).

Here's my question: I have WP 10 on Lumia 950 (awesome phone, btw), but the store gave me Waze 3.7.4.5 not 3.7.6 -- where/how might I get 3.7.6??
