I fixed it - it's not Waze related..........

I was struggling with this for weeks and found something on another site - worked like a charm.

Check your case connection - the gps connection in in the upper right corner of the phone (when the phone is back up). Mine had popped apart just a tiny bit inside my case.

There are other cases of screws coming loose inside, so if squeezing the case does not work, then you can search on how to pop the back off and tighten the screws.
