Fuel search results different when in navigation mode

I have noticed that Waze shows a comprehensive list of petrol stations only when it's in the navigation mode. When it's not in the navigation mode, it's only showing two nearest petrol station.

When in navigation mode:

I am using Waze on WP8, Lumia 720.

You might want to check you picture links. I cant see them:/

But when your in navigation mode waze shows the closest gas stations from your route. Then tells you how many mile and how much time it is off your route.

When your not in navigation mode waze shows the closest gas station from your location.

Did that answer your question? Im not sure what your asking.
